Thanks Scotty Ill have a look at it and see whats possible, I think that as you said with maintenance it will be fine and reliable with regular services
Thanks for the link its very useful. I guess I don’t have a choice with the cost of the parts. Ill also have a look at the valve every 40hours or so to see how its going and to clean it. More maintenance to add to the list, but I guess it will save money in the long run and I won’t have to worry about it blowing up
Finally got around to doing the forks, (HSC over at last), how do you get the inner fork tube out as the bottom nut spins with the inside? I have seen it done with a rattle gun is this a good solution?
Sorry for bringing this post back from the dead, I have been doing so much stuff for school but have now finished, so all my days are spent on bike stuff
Thanks again for the help
After much looking around I can’t find a flasher with 6 pins to match the RMX wiring, the closest I can find is something with 7 pins?? it looks like it would fit with 1 pin removed but I don’t know if it would work, any ideas? I don’t want to use resistors because they get really hot and kind of defeat the purpose of having low draw leds
heres the flasher I was looking at http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Suzuki-LED-Flasher-Relay-/300604596484?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item45fd6e2104
the blinkers come but only flicker really quick, I will try the load resistor, its jsut that it will get very hot with all that power going through it. the flasher is the relay that actually turns them on and off, but it has 6 pins on it and all the aftermarket ones only have 3?
Ill give the resistor a go and see if it works
Probably from the ferry itself, thanks for the link, Im not able to ride untill next month due to school commitments although after if you want another person to tag along for another ride im interested
Thanks Ollie I will certainly now have a play around with the suspension after I have done a service, and see how much of an improvement I can get
Hey Eagle would you be able to do a GPS route if its not a hassle, I don’t know the Watagans im still a newbie to riding in the bush and trail riding, it would be greatly appreciated, or a rough idea of the way there. Hope its not too much to ask thanks
Thanks Ollie ill get bidding hopefully I should get one for a good price, then its time to change the jetting, but I have worked it out pretty well. I had a look at the FMF page they say 175 main, 55pilot stock needle on the 3rd clip, sound like a good place to start?
Thanks for the help Ollie Ill have a look and give them a try, the stock spring seems allright to me but I think the previos owner had allready put new ones in
Hey Scotty do you know where I could source a 2nd hand carby? i have seen them new and they are too expensive. I have had a look online and have found a few new but they are around the $300 mark and im up for a set of new rotors as well so im trying to do it cheaper if possible
thanks ill have a look at it and see what I can do to make a bit better
the motard setup was from the guy who owned it before me, he was racing around eastern creek on it doing an under 2minute lap on it or some rediculous time, so it must have gone well. i went down the street a few times and powerband lifted the wheel no problem. The first thing to go was the motard setup and put some dunlops on it and a nice 52 tooth sproket for the hills. Now its a wheelie machine:)
Thanks ill take them apart when I get some spare time and re fill them with oil. One has a weepy seal and has leaked some oil, resulting in one shock being softer which is interesting over big woops when the bike wants to turn one way. Any suggestions on how to change the seals? I havn’t needed to change them before are they hard?
yep but I still love to ride my 81 PE250, its a great bike and I did a full engine rebuild myself
