After reading some posts and TB’s videos, I figured I should replace my cush drive rubbers. All tyre changes have been done by the local bike shop so I have never had reason to inspect them, assuming that they would tell me if they were worn (last tyres TKC80’s only lasted 2,500k) so in preparation for a big ride, I did the E09 change in the shed.

Anyway, long story short, the little rubber connectors on the rubbers were worn off and there was evidence of some rubbers cocking in the drive, wearing irregularly – not bad really after nearly 17,000km (yeah I know – I should be strung up…). So, called local Yamaha dealer today, the rubbers are $24 each. That the right price or should I look elsewhere for the next set?

    Cheers,

    GS

No thats the local over inflated Yamaha touch up price. Try here I think its 30 bucks a complete set. Buy 4 or 5 sets and make it worth the postage. I always try and buy local but we dont have an Old Bull Yamaha dealer and Yamaha Australia are too dear

Got to say Hatto with the rain thats been falling and having ridden down there a few times I was waiting for it to be called. I actually checked at 6am this morning but their web site had nothing new. Imagine those creeks at the back of the property, they were a decent creek when we rode the 4 day
Dont let your leave pass expire mate, thats how last weekends ride at Wauchope started at the last minute ;)

Normally I would be in but I am going up there later in the month. I have been but onto some tracks to come back on the west side of the New England Hwy. So I will go up via Yengo, Commision, Barry Station, Moonan Flat, Upper Rouchel, Albano Rd, Nundle and north. Back the new way

    Enjoy and ride safe

And you will lose more weight push starting your bike because the batteries are suspect IMO  Well the one I had kept going flat and finally failed. I was supposed to be twice as powerful as the standard one

    But yeah it was light

    TB

Yes agree they go flat different from a lead battery, die fast once they drop to around 12v or thereabouts. Not good if you dont have battery less efi.

Yeah I bought a four stage charger required to keep it charged but it would go flat in 4 days with the small Garmin power convertor wired in where the lead acid lasts three weeks plus

But they are light and if you kept it on a charger and didnt have a real bad restartig day
