I thought I would start a special thread for the Xmas Party. Put your stories and pics here.

I had a great time and I will do a report later as I an Knackered. Us Wauchope blokes managed to dodge all the storms and got back to town after a fun filled 680km for the weekend.

Ya reckon your KNACKERED ????? I only got home a bit before 8pm after the ADV LATTE RIDE from hell this arvo
It had some interesting bits thats for sure (including Thunderstorms on a mountainous hillside property that nearly had us beat  ) But being the legends we are, we soldiered on and reckon it was probably more HARDCORE than Boony`s saturday ride :P :P :P :woohoo:

More willl come later as well as pics from TB, Lefty & Dejay

Well done Eags, you guys looked rooted  I will post my ride report in the ADV thread, not hard enough for the single guys :P
Was a big day, we didn’t get back here to 8 as well. We stopped and got a can of drink from a dude with an esky at the old putty roadhouse that was are only stop after we left you.

    Thanks

Must have been a big word was it to ride around Mick? Could have been Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis thats the longest word in the world according to Wikipedia

Come on, you can do better than that.

I’m happy with no idea punter, you tell the truth and maybe to some point non attending, but that goes both ways, but I do get out there at least once a fortnight,:woohoo: and when I do, i’m not wearing scarves and cardies and sipping latte’s

    Hatto

 You know I don’t wear a cardie or a scarf mate and no coffee for me:) but I do like a piss take :P
I wont go into the ins and outs of proper ADV riding as if you haven’t done a decent one you wouldn’t understand. I will however continue to do both see the country, enjoy the social sides of both, ride most weekends in some form or another and kick your arse when we ride next

    Enjoy mate

PS sorry I missed your ride down there this year because I was in the states. Maybe when it cools down you can take me and educate me on the hard core single world as I haven’t ridden the trails down there since the four day :P :P

Look forward to a catch up but soon

Spoken like a non riding, non attending, no idea punter, with those obvious credentials you should be sitting member of the Greens party Hatto although you seem over qualified for even them

This is from 2 short rides of nothing real technical or grippy.

Rimlock will go back in tomorrow. :)

Nice work Mal, very interesting I never ran a lock with my rear mousse. Never checked if it moved  Will use a lock now if I put a mousse back in ;)

Normal rule of thumb Beags is the rim / etc is balanced with a tyre. You normally just fit a new tyre it’s it’s pretty close, I would say close enough. I used to check my Tenere ones when I fitted a tyre and they were so close it didn’t matter. The biggest things you are balancing is the rim lock and valve.

I am balancing Leftys tonight as they haven been done before. I have a stand and weights they are cheap enough, I really only use mine now days for other people’s wheels and when I build wheels

Nope never knew that. Not such a simple job to do at my place, I have a rain water tank, 3 inches above the top of the water heater. I would have to pull the heater out to get the anode out.
It is all too hard. Lucky I have a brother in law that is a plumber.

Breathing is too hard for you I think   But if you are lucky enough and can get him to do it will save you a fortune mate ;) I know this because I fell into the trap once, knew it was there just didnt do anything about it :(

    Again good tip

Anodes?? Hot Water service?? Never heard of such a thing, where do you get to it?
I understand what an anode does but I didn’t realise my hot water system would have one and that it is a servicable item? A 20 year old Rheem would no doubt have one??

Down the middle through the top ;) kidding you dont know
