KatGirl wrote:Hey guys…. I saw you out there enjoying the weather !!!!….. We passed you as you guys were heading south towards Bucketty. You were the only other crazy idiots that we passed all day. TB .. you would have noticed two Honda bikes flying by…. I was on the 230 and a mate was on my XR400…(his Tenere had steering head problems and in getting fixed) so I dragged him out. We were wet at about 30sec from leaving home. We too enjoyed a lunch at Wollembi Pub then headed into the Watagan’s to play in some mud….. great day….. no cars on roads, no 4WD on firetrails, no trailbikes out racing around…… we had the Watagan’s to ourselves… what more could a girl want!!!.. anyway…. got bit wet but hot shower and rum/coke fixed that… all up a great day on the bike….
Yeah I saw you ya nutter  was a little confused when I saw both your bikes 20 secs apart

Bloody wet eh

That was a tough days riding, not physically but mentally. Spent all but 80 kms fighting fogging issuses, sand, sand and more sand. We rode a logging track in use, reckon the dozers havent made that muddy!

Hearing reports like that make it more comforting that they are indeed a good pice of kit for the $$$Just need to be careful to link the correct page for family to check on I guess
Cheers
Eagle family doesn’t follow the page
It’s only for OBT :laugh:TB
Here is the conformation on FB

Oh yeah and the page, remember it’s for the last 7 days so it has last weekends as well

Yeah the spot address was wrong, just the link to the map page is all. I have never had it fail to sent a message or seen Nicks, or DJ’s fail to sent a message. Sometimes in the heavy wooded areas it doesn’t get every 10min plotting marker but again every single time no matter where I or anyone I have been with that has a spot has sent a message has it failed!!
Last year before we went to Camerons we looked at all the alternatives and the advice was a spot or a sat phone we took both. A spot also lets me notify 10 people everyday I am finished for the day and safe. I haven’t heard of someone that had their spot fail to help them when it was setup properly ( not sure what was wrong with STMs but if help was needed by spot it couldn’t have been the unit maybe setup )
I just set mine off now I am home and before I finished typing this it just sent me a text and Nickj and 8 others with my location and saying I am ok for the day

TBThe rock star himself, in 24th place doing his road book. Seems he stayed out of trouble

Highlights from day 2 SS 1 and SS 2. SB can be seen at the 1.13 mark. Says Cyril is having trouble with the road book. He is going well considering it’s a navigation event and he is having trouble and still in 5th  Grabbo had a fall but is still in 4th

First special of the day SS1 Old Coach Results here
Seems as though SB has dropped a couple of spots down to 26th, it’s all good as there are already some out and it’s very early days
SS 2 Breakaway
Results click here
SB is back up a couple, the penguin would be happy having both his charges first and second. Faggotter is third on his WR, then Benny on the Kato and Despres in 5th
