Well I started to get my bike in order for this trip. As I am riding tomorrow with DeeJay I couldn’t see the point in fitting my new gold sprocket, gold chain, wheel bearings etc.
I pulled the front end apart, checked all the wiring etc repaired the heated grip wiring, replaced a blown low beam globe and fixed the speedo assembly that needed tightening

Can see in the below photos the extra (bigger) washer to squeeze the rubber and stop the dash rattling. ( top left screw Nick and the washer ID needs to be bigger than the plastic locating guide )

I fitted a new tyre for tomorrow, not for Camerons it will be pretty wet and slippery tomorrow
Scotty sold me a Dunlop K190 yeah a K190 Sutto reckoned it must be the last one left around  Not road legal but man it has some knobs
Will be interesting slabbing in the wet at 6am tomorrow morning

The big maintenance day is next weekend

He was down to 10th and half hour off the front,,, Good News is that Cyril Despres is only about 5 seconds in front of him
Some real good pics filtering thru from the event (like the one of CD above in TB`s post) :woohoo:
Eagle there must have been a timing clitch or the front two they are saying took a short cut because the front two are 25 mins in front of Australias best and Cyril and that doesn’t gel eh

Bike maybe nice to ride by all accounts, what Galey wrote seems to be the general feed back. For me it’s owning a Husky that is the problem, cost of spares, availability of spares, support and back up and then there is selling said bike when finished. Two recent Husky owners spring to mind (old bulls) both selling late model Huskies with spares etc, well maintained good looking bikes nothing wrong with them. Am sure if you asked them both they would say they feel they gave them away in the end.
I always wonder if they are a good thing and all of the above I have written is wrong with the 2year warranty that should be a selling point, why do I see so few on the trails? All of the above is just my opinion, seen and heard in the end

Cyril Despres 8th fastest. That is a phat picture my new screen saver now actually

If anyone else has something they wish to donate to the auction then post them up and bring them along. As the carrier of the tuff jug gets to nominate the charity I invite anyone attending the Coffs ride who has a cause close to their heart to put their hand up and carry the jug.STM
I would like to do the jug thanks King. I will also source some prizes

Garry I think Nick is saying you have prepared your bike, I can vouch for that but that’s not the end of it. It still needs checking over on the ride as things come loose.
You said you aren’t a mechanic which is fine and why I am happy to help I think Nick is only offering advice, good advice. I am sure on the ride if you need advice or help he would be one of the first to chip in. There has been no short cuts on the preparation of your bike we know that but things go wrong which is no bodies fault certainly not mine :laugh:We all need from time to time read the thread on the written word in the Bullpit
It’s my ride I don’t give a rats arse who is invited or not if the thread is going to continue like this I will go for a ride by myself
it wasn’t like this last year :blink:It ends here everyone, now let’s get on with it
