:( well that didnt last long. What was the give away was it he drives like he rides? was it the fact he was silly enough to jump out on his broken ankle? Or was it the Toyota connection? Or was it the fact the driver was 3ft nothing tall

Well done Mal, he drilled the wall hard

He was caught out on slicks and the team sent him around for another lap I believe

Maybe the coffs ride would be a good place for the weigh in. A guessing the weight of a certain bike would be a good competition. Im sure a few would like to know there weights and if they have a difference to someone elses bike of the same make and model!

For a Gas Gas owner you are a thinking man Nato ;) Sounds like a ripper idea will have to fly it past Lefty.

Not getting into a pissing contest, like you I am sceptical of claimed weights. You just need to be sure if your quoting figures there for the correct model. The problem we have in Aus is some manufacturers claim weights for OS models when some of our model are unique, like our DRZ400E, it is not released in road going form anywhere else in the world.

We all know the DRZ is a heavy bike and you would be surprised how much the ADR gear weighs with 11-12 kg in fluid that leaves about 8-9kg of ADR shit to make up the 20kg you talk of. With all the extra wiring, bracket, switches, bolt and associated parts to hold it all together. That sound about right to me. Its not just lights and blinker and simple stuff like Honda and Yamaha add to there bikes. Suzuki find the biggest, heaviest, most over engineered shit to add to there bikes.

If you look at the US DRZ400S model, which has the same road gear as the Aus E it has a claimed wet weight of 144kg.

Tell you what, you pull the ADR gear of, just the ADR gear and I will weigh it in front of you   I cant see it weighing 8-9 kilos but hey I am interested. If the 144 is a claimed wet weight thats good eh ;) and makes sense.
Deejays bike was a surprise with all the stuff we bolted on it, but the standard exhaust is heavy

As would I King, like I said maybe we can get Lefty to drag them to a major ride one day and while we are sober have a competition to guess the weight of a particular bike as well :woohoo: :woohoo:
