So true SB we have converted the Teneres to powerlets with a great deal of sucess ;) I meant to mention that the red end comes of the ciggy plug and becomes a powerlet, I told Nick on the phone but   Dont need to get them from the importer, auto one had the couple we needed

Wont fit under the seat of the Tenere either Nick, wont go close

From my limited experience with pads,
Think you will generally find that the Organic pads are better feel & stopping but don`t wear well, and the sintered are longer lasting with a litle less feel

Like tyres, they are a bit subject personal preference & what type of riding you do regularly :)

And like tyres the soft grippy ones wear fast and the hard ones wear slow. I am a fan of soft pads for the feel they give.

thats why i like the sbs sintered pads they stop a lot better than the ebc and ferardo sintered pads but still last in the wet where the organics disinigrate just my experiance on a ktm

I am with Rocket plus sintered dont get chopped out in the middle of a wet ride and stuff the discs. Sintered heat up and work well, dont fade like organic when getting pounded.

Its all preference like undies  try both, cost you 35 bucks extra and you can carry the ones you dont like as extras for just incase on those big wet weekend rides ;)

Well the DR has been put back together and is running like a dream. If wants to under take the same job I am more than happy to assist with instructions, tensions or whatever is needed.

Tekink’s did the cylinder head work, it included new valves (Kibbell valves better than standard) seats and all required machining work. They shimed the buckets and set all the clearances so the head was ready to fit. They also supplied the top end gasket kit for just over 400 bucks all up ;)

A lesson in servicing your swing arm more often.

Maybe double nut and weld the nut and try winding it in first to free it, then work it back and forth and bring it out slowly. Keep it soaking in something although I dont think it will help until you wind it in so the jizz can get really through.
It is one of the things mentioned that troubles XRs the steel bolts it the alloy swingarm. Steel and alloy ummmm  Steel peg bolts in alloy frame etc

Bruce’s idea has merit as well

Hi Pete and welcome. Are you purchasing the kit from Teknik’s? If so I reckon rather than buy the kit from them spend the extra and send the forks and shock to them and have them do their magic. They know all the little extra tricks and I don’t know anyone that has a Teknik setup Tenere that isn’t happy.

If you do go ahead and fit the kit yourself and it is from them I know Mark and Nick will be able to help you out over the phone. My bike was done by them and it’s unreal and when I had a problem cause of my own stupidity they were super helpful after-hours.
