Sorry mate I didnt miss the point, I understand and if they arent interested so be it. Yes I know the shops in your direct area and thats their problem and they will suffer in the long run. I am trying to point out I guess there are great Aussie shops that are doing the deals. I was only trying to say dont give up on them all and how best to get a bargain.

I get your point and I know your history and you have been a supporter I know ;)

    Its all gravy Fossill

Its more than Suttos Fossil its any local shop and Bollocks example was a good one. if Bollocks didnt have that relationship his weekend was over. Shop wherever you want I only asked that people at least give our local shops a go to meet it. Sutto’s web site wouldnt be the best place to compare, thats why I said ring Scott he can work a old bull price or get it close, the web site doesnt give old bull discounts.

I know its a buyers market and I buy more than anyone here (for me and others for them or their bikes I am always chasing parts and prices and a deal for someone) Trust me there arent many shops doing the US deal thing here in Aus, doesnt matter that Sutto is sponsor or not, fact is they are doing the US thing and advertising everywhere. I also know there are shops closing weekly I watched an interesting debate on another site recently regarding it. I dont have the answer for punters or the shops I only ask we try local cause I can normally get it close when I do and use the phone or see them never hurts to ask

There aren’t many shops really matching the US price Fossil, we are lucky here at OBT as Suttos are one of the shops that are. Suttos are matching or getting close.

I am the same as you I try to buy local (Australian) am happy to pay a few bucks more and always ask don’t just pay ;) sometimes it’s a hard case but.

For those that are considering shopping OS ask Scott at Suttos how close they can get to the genuine OS price you have got.

Puddles is out, unable to make it. Strucky will more than likely be forced to miss it also due to personal reasons and we wish him all the best with that, although he will confirm later next week.

The evening at Bollocks and him loading his bike was the funniest thing I have seen in a while, he pulled it all together but and produced a cracker of a ride. Riding west to east through the Piliga was special, very special

    Cheers mate

Well Nick and I have had a chat on the weekend and this ride is changing again for what we think is a safer better option for all going also we have had people asking about the dig tree and the extra loop we were doing.

It is better to take the whole group on our loop. (extra time will be added getting to Cameron’s) so it’s an easier 3 day ride from the Ridge to Cameron’s for one and all the benefits of this are,

    – Whole group stays together
    – No chance of one group waiting for an extended period at Cameron’s if the other group has struck problems
    – Mickp’s route as brief as I heard it was up into QLD anyway so when you add the above reasons we may as well stay together

The start place will stay at Lighting ridge, how you get there is your concern. The ride starts from the ridge at 6.30am Sunday the 9th from there everyone going on the ride will ride in the one group, everyone paired.

The people that have confirmed and are going are

    TB
    Nickj

    Boulder
    Fish

    Moose
    Kram

    Mickp
    Lotsa

    Krusty
    Owl 02

    ChrisT
    Bollocks

Basically we will lead a ride from Lighting Ridge to Cameron’s Corner via the Dig Tree and Bore track. There will be a half day off at Cameron’s for services etc ( if it takes you longer than half a day I suggest you get stuck into it the night before rather than drinking ) From Cameron’s it’s back to the finish at ST Alburns. Those having to ride from the finish home like some of us are riding from home to the start take the Monday off after the ride to give yourself some extra travel time.

That’s it, that’s the plan. It’s a great route with something for every rider. The route has now been finalized, everyone is welcome (although it’s full :) )

Reread the first post, make sure you bike is prepared as per the guide lines in the first post

There is still a group riding to the start from Grafton and another group from Sydney and the Central Coast to the ridge for the start. A recommended accommodation location and contact details for the Ridge will be provided soon

There will be no more changes to the route, the first post has been changed to suit the changes

For the first time I walked down to the outlet as my previous guide had never mentioned you could, it was awesome watching that volume off water go over the edge

We headed for Nowendoc, not that Nick could say it   , we stopped for a leak and a look around

From there we rode into Nowendoc for the best burger I have ever had in the bloody coldest store, I mean it was so cold steam was coming out of your mouth as you spoke

We went outside and it was even colder than we went in  the ride across towards Nundle was the coldest I have ever been on or off a bike  . It sleeted, it snowed it was wrong how cold it was, I had only one heated grip working and couldnt find my winter gloves :( but we got into Tamworth. We fueled, got some drinks and headed to Bolls ranch. First Boony and the great wall fronted, then Snow and House. Later Buzz fronted, Bollocks kept us all laughing as you have seen with the videos

Boony then decieded to set Bollocks GPS into Arabic, then tried to blame House  he later confessed to Bollocks, he fixed it but thank god

    So the tower starts :woohoo:
