replace the cap and renew the coolant with a good quality one and then take it for a ride, I always wonder why other bikes boil and minwe doesnt in the tight stuff, I just put it down to rider ability,,,

I have seen you ride Boony it’s not good ability if thats the case ;) Couldnt drive ducks to water

Run the bike to operating temp, take the cap of and make sure there are no large bubbles all the time. Fit a new cab 1.3 or 1.6 bar, new coolant nothing fancy just good coolant. Wash your radiator out carefully from the back the the front. Don’t let the bike idle for any period of time at a hold up on the trail.

    Good luck

Well thanks Bollocks for a great 3 days riding mate it was a ripper mate. Chicken and I had planned to ride to Micks to meet Nick for a ride to Tamworth before the ride officially kicked off.

    P6210001640x480.jpg

My bike at Chickens early Tuesday morning

    P6210002640x480.jpg

We got away early and had a great ride up around Barrington etc all the way to meeting Nickj at Comboyne. Once there we left for Micks, I turned the group into the tracks we used for last years poker run, yes you doubters of the adventure bike we did some of those trails. We wandered around the front of Comboyne lookout or whatever Mick calls it and tackled some challageing trails. Some of the tracks I remembered from the years of riding up there with Mick now some I didn’t but it didn’t matter cause we was GPS armed

Once we got into Wauchope and completed our motorised vehicle permits we pulled up outside Micks so I could yell for the shed keys. Once we dumped our gear in the shed we stole Micks patrol and hit the bottleshop, again I was reminded how hard it is to drive in your riding boots

Back to Micks, he was there, I told him I had done the ring around and a shed party was in order :P Well that wasn’t the smartest move I came to work out the next morning

First Nick had two new tyres to fit, the back he couldn’t get to pop the bead

    P6210003640x480.jpg

So it was down to the old side stand trick

    P6210005640x480.jpg

    P6210006640x480.jpg

Then the front was done. Nick has had 3 separate GPSs fail now so we thought maybe we would wire them straight to the battery. Chicken got in and helped and you can see Mick showing in the back ground showing how much he helps

    P6210008640x480.jpg

From then the beers and Bundys flowed (maybe to fast  ) anyways and then the pizzas turned up, by this stage I could have eaten the arse out of a rhino  So I hung up mid conversation on Boony, sorry mate I don’t remember that :P And we dug into the pizza, Nick was into double pepperoni

    P6210009640x480.jpg

The night continued until later, whenever that was and we went to bed

    Day two

It was up and a few headache tablets, cuppa and get ready. We left and went and fueled

    P6220011640x480.jpg

    P6220014640x480.jpg

Chicken filled his camelback with Wauchope water, maybe he can read

    P6220010640x480.jpg

And Nick showed true hard core adventure riders spirit and purchased a double, triple filtered spring water for his camelback :P

    P6220013640x480.jpg

From there we left and followed the little green line on the GPS I had plotted which by chance was the same as Mick has suggested in the morning while we suited up.

We stopped and rested on a bridge which we did on Micks birthday ride

    P6220017640x480.jpg

    P6220018640x480.jpg

    P6220019640x480.jpg

We eventually ended up on the top of the mountain ridge on a track we used on Micks orginal birthday bash

Hey Eags I am looking forward to watching you build your ride mate ;) Could picture you and the 690 crossing Cubbie Station with us last friday mate :)

I have a tank bag you can try before you buy, I don’t use it unless it’s Salina and I two up as you can’t stand properly with the bag on, it’s not just a Tenere thing either ask Bollocks and others. Anyway let me know if you want to give it a try and I will send it up
