Here is the post
micknmeld wrote:As part of doing any story in the paper one has to do a bit of investigating and this is what I found out re the ICE campaign.Hi Mick,
As requested, attached is our media release from about a year ago regarding the ICE emails.
ICE emails not from AmbulanceThere is an unauthorised email using the Ambulance Service of NSW name being sent
around asking people to join the In Case of Emergency (ICE) campaign using their mobile
phones. This email is not from the Ambulance Service of NSW.The Ambulance view on the ICE campaign is as follows:
The Ambulance Service has not launched any campaign supporting ICE (In Case of Emergency). Ambulance supports any method of contacting family in a critical medical
emergency. Methods that can be used include information in diaries, wallets, drivers’ licences, and mobile phones. The concept of ICE has merit and would be another source of
information to assist with identification.IT IS IMPORTANT TO NOTE: in cases involving more than one patient or a where a mobile phone has been borrowed from someone else, it may be difficult to confidently match
personal belongings to any one individual. This may in turn lead to unnecessary distress.
The Ambulance Service also advises that as with all stored personal information, individuals need to be mindful of confidentiality issues. This information is also available on our website: http://www.ambulance.nsw.gov.au

Nick when you are down for the birthday ride I will show the filters I have and how I have modified a Yamaha to go with uni gage. See what you think.
Mick I will take some pictures to show the differences. The filters are a bit of a pain tto fit and it’s hard to check the sealing flange

mickp wrote:Doesn’t look like they are glued together in these photoshttp://www.touratech.com/shops/001/product_info.php?products_id=7077
Mick
They can’t be glued Mick they are a single element the Yamaha ones are a twin filter and heaps better even with the inner glued in
Mick I got the filters mixed up in my last post the Yamaha is a twin element and the uni a single.
TB
Those ones Mick aren’t big enough around the top seal and are a worry getting to seal. I have one that I got with my screen but don’t use it because I cant be sure its sealing.
Uniflter at Gosford also sell ones that are small around the top seal as well but better than the ones from off the road. The genuine Yamaha ones are the best they have the largest foam ring around the top that I have found so far and I have bought 3 different ones  they are also the most expensive I have bought
The Yamaha filters have the inner glued to the screen

April 17, 2011 at 5:17 pm in reply to: 3rd Annual OBT Birthday Ride Weekend, 28th, 29th May 2011 #199454The pre run this coming Monday the 25th will be weather dependent, also as Mal5.1 and Mydogrocket have been good enough to offer to lead Saturday’s ride I only have Sunday to look after which reduces my need to do as much pre running
Will keep those that have expressed interest in the loop via PM as I still have some testing to do with my bike anyway and want a ride as it’s been nearly 11 days

The route from Camerons will be e mailed to everyone in the days leading to everyone leaving ( those with GPSs anyway )
I am sending a tyre and a few pieces to Camerons as well, if you think you may want something out there you should give it some thought. (you may want to do an oil change if you are on a DR400 or the likes)

I did wonder how it would go with dirt and mud etc. My XR has the judder plate/spring (its to help clutch release making it smooth) it has an extra plate fitted its now 43 k old with the original clutch. Be interested to see how it goes on the WR NFHWU
TB
Good point about the tank shrouds SB
that agreement with the Yamaha dealers must be selective as we bought my brother in laws safari tank for his WR from a non Yamaha dealer and they got it from SafariStill like you say the shrouds being able to be used is heaps better, my 17 litre is a Clarke and has been great and uses my shrouds
I see your new graphics at Tee n Cee bike must looking good and ready for Condo?
