The first 9 summits were not to bad, it was the very last bastard that looked like the steps of the opera house, that sorted me out.

Is that the hill that caused the grief on the 4 day??

    NO

Yeah Blue they have a good wrap and the one I rode was a real nice bike certainly more trail then the WR’s and CRF’s I have ridden. Never heard of any valve problems or the likes

I’m glad you didn’t take my comments as a shot at your knowledge because it’s no slight on you that someone has convinced you that the new bikes are nightmares. In fact some of them are, but more importantly most aren’t and for every bad story you read about there’s 499 blokes too busy enjoying riding their “shitboxes” to post up and whinge about them.

Thats so true Trent ;) Also your 18 months riding has nothing to do with this so I wouldnt mention that

I wasn’t going to do it but I feel it’s time …….my 08 KTM 450 now has over 8,000Km’s on the clock amassed over almost 2 years of riding. Valves have been checked once, have never been adjusted and are still in spec. Most people that know me will tell you I used to rev it (like riding a gear lower than required for engine braking) and it’s been a great bike.

Yes yes it did I checked the valves for him and all good. Surprised him as much as me I think  But facts are facts, would they all do that?

Dan’s WR450 impresses me, it goes good and seems to be reliable will it do 20,000kms I dont know, I know a CRF 450 wont

If I was buying a 450 it would be a WR

Nice work Tony, I have been to the dark side and come back :P Remember last week we worked out you are but a boy :P (lucky bastard  )

Better than being a butt boy that likes the “dark side” 😆 :woohoo:

So c-e-l, what do you think? If a WR or the likes was reasonable to maintain would you prefer to ride one or would you prefer the ol’ faithful type that will “get the job done”.

blue, have you ever explained why you’re not riding a TM?

Tony you are as slow here as you are on that over rated bike over priced bike of yours that you are a passenger on, (but sounds crisp) He had a WR you FOOL and sold it cause he didnt like it FARK!!!!! He said that twice here     :P

Thank god this thread happened or the day would still be dragging on
