Hi guys what you need is

    Standard needle (OBDZT)
clip should be on the 5th position from the top
    40 pilot jet
    180 main
air screw should be 1 1/2 turns out

If you find it still pops maybe try a 45 pilot

    Hope that helps

    Cheers

I have just spoken with Scott at Sutto’s the KTM dealer that is a site sponsor he is going out the workshop to get some info on how they set them up (the 530 race bikes that is) Mal at Sutto’s has just put his brand new 530 together and tried some interesting jetting so they will post some info up shortly.

I see the KTM rear brake reservoirs don’t hold much fluid and Ballards have a kit that increases the reservoirs capacity all the guns have them fitted I see

Other the that replace the fluid with new quality stuff from a sealed container and make sure you have the stainless steel backing plates on the pads to help hold the heat back

Old pads are thinner and heat up faster and transfer they heat to the pistons and thus the fluid faster

Failing all that stop riding the back brake

No good to you Ollie they want real money for it and its not from the two dollar shop or Aldi  :P

I thought you may want a spare, noting a rebuild will cost you around $3000 anyway on most 4 strokes. Could always use it as a boat anchor I spose

    Ollie

Nah dont need one its only done 27,000+ kms
Actually Ollie I have all the parts to rebuild my engine bar the piston and crank kit. I have the gaskest, rings, cam chain, bearings and thrust washers, etc cost $347.00 genuine XR’s arent like the current high cost 4 strokes mate. I will rebuild it later this year in summer it cant go forever ;)
